The Master Restorer has been owned and operated with the expertise of Gustavo Perez since 1989 in Torrance, California. Prior to Mr. Perez opening his art restoration studio, he himself was learning his unique and skillful art with several apprenticeships over a 10 year period. These apprenticeships were with some of the most well respected art studios in the country.

Mr. Perez originally hails from Puebla, in his native country, Mexico. However, after finishing his education in Mexico he emigrated to the United States to pursue a career in art restoration. Now with over 20 years of restoration experience he combines both the knowledge of this dying art and new techniques together into some of the most expert care of fine art available in the United States.

It's been a lifelong journey for him to develop his craft and now he is passing on his art to apprentice's working in his studio. All work performed in the studio is either crafted by Mr. Perez himself or under his close supervision.

Mr. Perez now works from his studio in Torrance, CA. but has also worked on location outside of the studio. Art galleries, art dealers, individual collectors and even museums are finding the work of Mr. Perez invaluable to the preservation and restoration of their artworks. Recently, the Master Restorer was commissioned to restore works from the collection of the Museum of Latin/American Art in Los Angeles.
