There are numerous ways in which an acrylic original painting can fall into disrepair. The Master Restorer can skillfully rebuild missing areas of paint, fix cracking, repair torn canvas or reattach canvases to their stretcher bars.
Acrylic paints are rather new and do have a certain degree of flexibility on the canvas beneath. However, over time acrylics can fall victim to environmental elements and mishandling.
The Master Restorer must apply correct materials and paints that will blend with the original mediums used. If care isn't taken with these mediums, the artwork will disintegrate even further.
